Volunteer Opportunites

We take pride in bringing joy to San Diego Youth Services homes. We believe everyone deserves to experience the holidays, which is why gather volunteers to decorate community rooms. Our team also ensures each space is clean, welcoming, and ready for celebration. Join us in spreading joy and making a meaningful difference in our community.

. Valentines Day To celebrate the love and connection Valentine’s Day represents, BIM decorated SDYS community room and later hosted a Valentine’s party for the youth living there. The space—filled with pink décor and heart-themed decorations donated by the Coronado community—became a place to trade candy, make cards, and celebrate one another.

. St. Patrick's Day For Saint Patrick’s Day, BIM brings together high school volunteers to transform the community room with shamrocks, greenery, leprechauns, and pots of gold. Don't worry, we'll never forget to make our leprechaun traps!

. Easter The week before Easter, we gather up volunteers and decorations to create baskets for the foster youth living at SDYS. We also ensure they have the candy and eggs to host an Easter egg hunt!

. Halloween To celebrate the spooky season BIM hosts a drive for halloween costumes, also making sure to provide pumpkins for carving!

. Thanksgiving

. Christmas BIM hosts an annual holiday event where volunteers decorate and wrap brand-new gifts for youth at San Diego Youth Services. Funds raised through our Holiday Gala ensure every child experiences the joy of the season.
