OUR MISSION
The Blue Iris Movement is a 501(c)(3) youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable youth, ages 0 to 24, by spreading love, hope, and inspiration through acts of kindness. With group home holiday decorating, donation drives, and community connection, BIM uses high school volunteers to create a brighter future for all youth.
Making an Impact
For over 50 years, San Diego Youth Services has supported more than 823,000 youth, ages 0 to 25.
By partnering with three (and growing) of their 100+ homes across San Diego, BIM helps create the meaningful experiences many of us associate with childhood. Together, by connecting high school volunteers with these youth, we’ve fostered relationships and hope---impacting 1,575+ youth so far.
Furthermore, BIM hosts fundraisers and donation drives totaling over $5,000. Through bake sales, book drives for National City elementary schools (including 150 books donated), and décor contributions from the Coronado community, BIM works to ensure youth across San Diego County have the resources they need to succeed—and a supportive community they can rely on.
